We Can’t Look Away. Let’s Rebuild Their Churches — Together

Since 2009, violence against Christians in Nigeria has destroyed thousands of churches and taken tens of thousands of innocent lives. In 2025 alone, more than 7,000 Christians have already been killed, and over 7,800 abducted — the highest of any country in the world this year.

These numbers are not just statistics. Each one represents a grieving family, a shattered church, a lost life. Villages have been burned. Sanctuaries desecrated. Entire communities scattered.

But hope is not lost.

Over 19,100 churches destroyed or shut down since 2009 due to Boko Haram and other violent attacks
Tens of thousands of Christian homes burned
Many pastors murdered while standing firm in faith
Entire congregations displaced or worshipping outdoors

Our Mission: Rebuild What’s Been Destroyed

Afeniforo Global Ministries is launching a bold mission to rebuild at least 100 churches in Northern and Middle Belt Nigeria. Our work includes:

Reconstructing burned churches, brick by brick
Restoring sanctuaries with roofs, benches, sound systems, and Bibles
Helping displaced congregations return to worship safely
Counseling and care for survivors of trauma and persecution
Supporting pastors who’ve lost their pulpits and homes

Why This Matters Now

The violence is not over. Attacks continue weekly in states like Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, and Borno.

Without urgent help, many congregations may never rebuild. Some believers are now worshipping under trees, in burnt-out shells of former churches — or in hiding.
