Meet Jennifer Afeniforo

A Visionary Committed to Empowering Lives

From a very young age, Jennifer Afeniforo felt a deep calling to travel to Africa and serve those living in poverty. Her passion for service and compassion for others have driven her to make a significant impact in countless lives and communities.

Journey of Faith and Purpose

Born Jennifer Ford, meaning "a shallow river," Jennifer also carries the middle name Lavinia, a name rich with family heritage and prophetic significance. Both her grandmothers bear this name—her paternal grandmother has Lavinia as her first name, while her maternal grandmother carries it as her middle name.

Lavinia is a prophetic name symbolizing one who brings people together, uniting communities in harmony and purpose. This deeply resonates with Jennifer’s calling to build bridges of hope and restoration across cultures and nations.

Through divine providence, Jennifer met and married a man of God who shares her vision for uplifting communities. In keeping with Yoruba tradition, her husband adopted a new surname upon adulthood, reflecting their shared commitment to prosperity and abundance for their people. Jennifer has experienced the Lord’s guidance throughout this journey and believes greater things are yet to come.

A Heart for Service

Jennifer and her husband believe deeply in loving everyone, regardless of background. This foundational Christian value inspires and fuels their outreach efforts and ministry work.

Leadership and Advocacy

Jennifer serves as Co-Founder of Afeniforo Global Outreach Ministries and sits on the board of Skill Upseed Africa as a Grant Advisor. In this role, she uses her expertise to secure funding and resources empowering underprivileged women, youth, and refugees through skills development and entrepreneurship.
